Know which Cub Scouts are here, from pack meeting to campout.
Scout Check-In replaces the clipboard by the door. Parents check their Cub Scouts in with a quick QR code scan, leaders see who is on site in real time, and every scout goes home with an adult the family approved.
Free for Scouting units. Works on any phone, no app store needed.
How it works
Set up a pack meeting, den outing or campout in a minute. Parents do the rest from their own phones.
-
Create an event
A leader adds the pack meeting, hike or campout and prints its QR codes for check-in, check-out and family registration.
-
Parents scan in
At the door, a parent scans the code, finds their family, and taps who's arriving: Cub Scouts, siblings and adults.
-
Safe pickup
At check-out, the parent picks who is taking each Cub Scout home from the family's approved pickup list, or records someone else and why.
Built for busy pack leaders and parents
For Cubmasters and den leaders
- Live "Currently On Site" view. If you need to account for every Cub Scout in an emergency or evacuation, the list is already on your phone.
- Counts at a glance. Cub Scouts, siblings, adults and families on site, refreshed as people come and go.
- Your pack roster in one place. Families organized by den, from Lions to Arrow of Light, with each scout's rank.
- Youth Protection and health forms. Track YPT and health-form dates for every adult and scout.
- Invite your leaders and families. Send email invitations one at a time or in bulk from a CSV. Each person gets the access their role needs.
For parents
- Register your family once. Enter your Cub Scouts, their siblings and the adults one time, and reuse it for every event.
- Quick at the door. Scan, tap, done. Check-in takes seconds, even with a Tiger in one arm.
- Peace of mind. Your Cub Scout only leaves with an adult on your approved pickup list.
- Any phone, tablet or computer. It runs in the browser. Add it to your home screen if you like.

Running a Troop, Crew or Ship? Scout Check-In works for you too. Older scouts can even have their own accounts.
Your families' information stays private
Scout Check-In holds information about young children, so it's built to keep it locked down.
- Each pack's data is kept separate. Leaders only see their own pack.
- Parents only see their own family.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest.
- No ads, no third-party trackers, no selling data.
- Families join by invitation from your pack, not open sign-up.
Free for Scouting units
Scout Check-In is free to use at this time. It was built by a volunteer Cub Scout parent to help packs like yours.
As more units sign on and hosting costs grow, we'll welcome donations to keep it running and pay for new features. Using Scout Check-In will not depend on donating.
Questions
Do parents need to install an app?
No. Scout Check-In runs in the phone's web browser. Parents can add it to their home screen so it opens like an app, but they don't have to.
How does our pack get started?
Your Cubmaster or another pack leader registers the pack. Once it's approved, you add your families, invite your den leaders, and create your first event.
Can we check in siblings too?
Yes. Families list everyone who comes along, and the leader dashboard counts Cub Scouts, siblings and adults separately.
Who can see our pack's information?
Only the people your pack invites, and only what their role allows. Parents see their own family; leaders see their pack.
Can several leaders help run things?
Yes. Invite as many den leaders and event coordinators as your pack needs. Each one gets access that fits their role.
Does it work for Troops, Crews and Ships?
Yes. Scout Check-In started with Cub Scout Packs, but any Scouting unit can use it, and older scouts can have their own accounts.
Does it cost anything?
Not at this time. If hosting costs grow, we'll ask for voluntary donations.
